The "best" therapy depends on your specific symptoms, preferences, and needs. Our therapists are trained in multiple approaches and will collaborate with you to create the most effective treatment plan.
Absolutely. While everyone experiences anxiety occasionally, if your anxiety is interfering with your daily life, relationships, or overall well-being, professional help can be invaluable.
Therapists provide strategies and tools specifically studied to manage your anxiety effectively, which can often mean feeling better much faster. Therapists also offer an outside perspective, helping you see triggers that you may not be aware of. Finally, therapy provides a safe space to explore your scariest feelings and thoughts, knowing you’re in good, capable hands.
At Houston Anxiety and Wellness Center, we firmly believe that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Yes, it is possible to overcome anxiety. While anxiety is a normal human emotion that everyone experiences to some degree, chronic or severe anxiety can be effectively managed and reduced. Working with an anxiety therapist gives you coping skills to manage your anxiety immediately, while you work long-term on changing your baseline level of anxiety or maladaptive ways of thinking that could be keeping you stuck.
The cost of your sessions depends on your specific mental health therapist. Initial diagnostic evaluations with our licensed clinicians range from $215-$330 and follow up sessions range from $160-$255.
Advanced Doctoral Clinicians and Counseling Interns are able to provide services at a much reduced rate ($100-$130). All of our Doctoral Clinicians and Counseling Interns receive weekly supervision by fully licensed psychologists or counselors that are familiar with your goals and treatment plan. Working with a doctoral clinician or counseling intern is essentially like having two therapists for the price of one! We believe that finances should never get in the way of receiving excellent, evidence based care.
In order to make sure we offer the best, personalized care without restrictions, we are not on any insurance panels.
While we don’t work directly with any insurance panels, we are able to provide our clients with superbills so that you can apply to receive reimbursement directly from your insurance provider. Many of our clients receive up to 50%-80% reimbursement!
If you plan to seek reimbursement, please let us know prior to scheduling your initial appointment so that we can ensure you’re matched with a mental health therapist whose specific license is eligible for insurance reimbursement.
