Carla Wall completed her Counseling Internship at Houston Anxiety and Wellness Center this summer. She has a M. Ed. in School Counseling. Over the past 20 years she has worked with diverse groups of children, teens and adults teaching visual art at KIPP schools, Artmix and St. John’s School in Houston, Tx. Passionately teaching art for more than 20 years has equipped her with a unique perspective on the complexities of human emotions, expression and behavior. Her classrooms have served as safe spaces on each campus and her goal is to continue to help people in even more meaningful ways.
She works with children, teens, and families and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Carla specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodiversity focusing on helping clients with parenting difficulties, grief, boundary setting, behavior issues, self-awareness, resilience, stress management, art therapy, and play therapy.
Fun fact: Carla is an olive connoisseur. She has never met an olive she didn't like!
